Things Are Looking Up

Hello There All My Wonderful Blogger Friends!
Yes, I am still alive and kicking...though you couldn't tell from my lack of updating and blogging. Sorry!!!! I actually contemplated just closing my blog down, but I thought of all you wonderful folks, and how so many of you have faithfully followed and waited for updates on our remodel and just couldn't do it. So I am here to finally give you an update, and hopefully stay more on top of my blogging.

Honestly I have the hardest time figuring out how to balance my time so I can get everything done in the day that needs to be done. My first priority is the kids school, and then there is the business and orders that need to be worked on, and then there are all those other pesky household responsibilities to attend to. I find little time for anything else. I am happy to say that health wise I am feeling better, and the last blood work did show my anemia getting better. The count is still to low, but slowly climbing, and I am not as fatigued as I had been, so looks like all those silly pills are working. I still struggle to find the time to use the treadmill, but I haven't given up. ;-)

We got some snow last night, and the kiddies(fur kiddies included) couldn't wait to get outside and play in it. Shouldn't stay around long. Maybe a couple days or so. That is the beauty of snow here in Kentucky...It melts quickly! ;-)

Both the girls enjoyed their romp through the snow as well as Little Lady Lydia. She is Megan's(our oldest daughter) New Great Pyrenees Puppy. She really is the sweetest little thing... well not really little, but sweet none the less, and I have yet to hear one peep out of her.

Our business continues to do very well, and at times we have all we can do to keep up. All the handcrafted items take time, and though my customers are the BEST in the world, I always feel so pressured to get orders out quicker then probably is doable. I add the stress myself!! .I have been wanting to introduce more retail into the website, and plan on a textile purchase from "Family Heirloom Weavers" next week. Still trying to decide what exactly I want to offer my customers. They have such gorgeous textiles, and made here in the USA! I need to decide so I can get that order placed Monday or Tuesday. If anybody has any suggestions or if there is a certain design that they offer and you would like to see us carry, then drop me an email. I would love to hear from you.

Just finished up some new Shelf Sitters, and signs this past week, and finished this simple "Bowl Shelf" today. I've been wanting to make this up for over a year, and finally got to it this weekend. Wasn't at all difficult...Just had to find the time to get it done!

Now onto the kitchen! We have made a lot of progress, though we still have probably another 2 months before we are completely done with it! There is a lot of those little tedious details to finish. Like the grills in the kitchen windows. They are on order, and should be here soon. The molding, and finishing up the brick around the wall oven. Ed has all the cupboards built except for my bake center, and broom closet.I'll give you all a peek of the sitting area of the kitchen. It isn't completed yet, but well enough along that I'm not embarrassed to share it with you all. ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by and seeing what I've been up to. I'm hoping to be updating more about the kitchen over the next few weeks.
You all have a very blessed evening, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
